Cognizant and Cognition said a production deployment of Devin‑powered autonomous AI engineering at Odyssey Logistics produced a 37 percent net cost saving, according to a press release reported on Yahoo Finance.
The release described the effort as a modernization of Odyssey’s transportation management platform, moving from legacy Microsoft Access and VBA forms to a cloud‑native solution called OdysseyONE. The project was completed within a fixed budget and a tight delivery window, avoiding a conventional rewrite.
Cognizant noted that it has trained more than 3,000 associates on the Devin platform. The release claimed Devin has reduced time to release‑ready code by more than 50 percent and accelerated greenfield development five to six times.
The two companies said they have built a set of joint offerings that include a modernization and upgrade service, a quality engineering service that uses Devin to identify test‑coverage gaps and generate test cases, and a Frontier AI Cyber Defense service built on Devin capabilities.
“Software engineering is changing faster than anything I have seen in my career,” said Tarun Kumar, Americas Head, Software Engineering Group, Cognizant, in the release.
